COLUMN GRAIN DRYERS

reliable and efficient equipment that provides optimal conditions
for drying various types of grain crops

The purpose of the grain dryer:

Grain dryers are used to dry wet bulk materials. They are mainly used to dry corn, rapeseed and wheat.
Grain dryers are drying equipment used for the efficient and uniform drying of cereals and soybeans. Grain dryers are equipped with ovens, angle sails, filters and control devices.

The main advantages of our product:

● The dryers are made of galvanised sheet steel, MAGNELIS type, which ensures high corrosion resistance.
● The dryer operates in a vacuum, which ensures good evaporation of water from the grain.
● The column is insulated to reduce heat loss during drying.

The dryer uses a two-temperature grain drying system. The areas through which the grain flows are divided into three main zones:
The first drying zone is the last zone for the warm air flow. The grain is pre-dried at a temperature of 40 to 70°C. The initial low drying temperature ensures that the moisture is extracted from the interior of the grain in a gentle manner, which in turn prevents the dried grain from cracking and reflecting moisture in the grain. The phenomenon of grain moisture rebound during storage is caused by the initial drying of grain at high temperatures. The outer part of the grain is dried to a predetermined value, while the inner part of the grain remains moist. The hard, dried grain hull prevents moisture from escaping quickly from the inside of the grain, which in turn increases the moisture content of the grain during storage.
● The second drying zone is the first hot air flow zone. The grain is dried at a temperature of 80 to 140°C (for maize, even higher temperatures can be used without losing its biochemical properties). The grain transferred from the first zone has already been subjected to the initial drying process, which has allowed most of the moisture to be extracted from it, and in the second zone the product is dried at high temperatures.
● The third drying zone is also the grain cooling zone. The grain is cooled and dried with cold air. The moisture is then stabilised across the entire cross-section of the grain. In addition, the dried material is cooled to a temperature close to that of the outside air.

The dryers are made of high quality sheet metal Magnelis

The dryers are available in two versions. The standard version is made of Z275 galvanised sheet or MAGNELIS zinc-coated sheet with magnesium additives, which is labelled ZM.

The MAGNELIS type sheet is characterised by high and long-lasting corrosion resistance. Tests have shown that the use of ZM coating can increase corrosion resistance by up to 4 times.

The dryer uses a column feeding system, which allows the grain to be fed:

Precise delivery of the dried product from the dryer to the discharge.

Uniform grain drying, regardless of whether the product flows along the walls of the dryer or through the centre of the dryer, dries the grain evenly.

Low energy consumption due to the low pressure drop of the air flowing through the drying column
