Purpose: Silos (granaries) are designed for storing dry bulk materials, primarily for storing grain: corn, rapeseed, wheat and sunflower.Advantages of the product:The silo walls are made of galvanised metal, which has the following properties:● Very high rigidity of the side walls, which ensures no deformation during the use of the silo.● The use of galvanised metal ensures less absorption of sunlight through the side walls, which significantly reduces the heating of the side walls and, in combination, provides better grain storage conditions.● The wave depth of the side walls is designed so that grain does not remain on the silo walls, while at the same time maintaining maximum wall rigidity.The loads that occur mainly during loading and unloading of the silo are taken up by the vertical support posts.The vertical support posts are mounted outside the side walls, which ensures that there are no internal elements on which grain remains during unloading. The wall thickness of the vertical support is calculated in accordance with the requirements of the European standards PN-EN.
Special M8 silo bolts with round flat washers are used to connect the side walls and vertical support posts. The M8 silo bolts have a threadless body diameter of M10, which gives them a higher load-bearing capacity. The larger diameter of the bolt provides a higher load-bearing capacity, and the smaller size of the bolt eliminates the possibility of alignment of the corrugated beams during their connection.
The roof of the silo is made with a 30-degree slope, which corresponds to the angle of natural grain rolling and ensures maximum utilisation of the silo.
The conical silo consists of the following elements:● A galvanised channel as a support structure with welded elements.● Cone sheets made of galvanised structural steel.● Silo legs are made of painted structural steel.
